OBJECT

The objet of the game is to capture King Kong at the Empire State Building.

MATERIALS

Exciting Game board
Colorful Spinner
4 Plastic Markers
1 Plastic Base (for King Kong mover)
King Kong Danger Cards
King Kong Figure

PREPARATION

Carefully separate the Spinner and the King Kong Cards from the Game Platform. Shuffle the cards and stack them face down on the center of the Game Board. Be careful not to place them on any game path. Each player selects a plastic Marker and places it at the "Start" position on the Game Board.

Remove the King Kong figure from the Game Platform, bend it and insert it into the plastic Base as shown below.

Now place the King Kong Marker on his "Start" position in the encircled footprint at the Holland Tunnel.

PLAYING THE GAME

Each player spins the spinner. The one who spins the highest number on the "Outer Circle" goes first.
Now each player takes his turn at spinning the Spinner. A player may move his Marker along any of the three paths always towards the Empire State Building. When the Spinner is spun, the pointer will point to 2 number. The number on the "Outer Circle" of the Spinner indicates the number of spaces a player can move his Marker. The number on the "Inner Circle" is the amount of spaces (foot prints) the KIng Kong Marker will advance. During any one move, a player must move not only his own Marker along the Game Board path but must also advance the King Kong marker along the footprint path which leads towards the Empire State Building. Remember the player's Marker always moves first and the the King Kong marker. More than one player may occupy the same space.

KING KONG SPACES

If a player lands directly on a King Kong Face Space, he must pick a King Kong Card and follow the directions written on it. If the instructions lead him to a new path he must continue on the new path. Once he has done this, he must replace that card (face down) on the bottom of the deck.

KING KONG FOOTPRINTS

If a player lands on a King Kong Footprint, he must go directly to the Hospital. On his next turn, he is only allowed to place his Marker on the Red Cross outside of the Hospital area. However, he must spin and advance the King Kong marker the number of spaces indicated on the "Inner Circle" of the Spinner. On the next turn, he continues on the path to the Empire State Building.

KING KONG'S PATH

If the King Kong marker lands directly on a Footprint with an "X" on it, then on King Kong's next move, he must move along the path in the direction of the arrow.

CAPTURING KING KONG

The only time King Kong can be captured is when he is at the Empire State Building. If a player is in position to enter the Empire State Building before King Kong gets there, he must wait until King Kong arrives. The player must move the King Kong marker the number of spaces indicated on the "Inner Circle".
In order for a player to capture King Kong, he must move his Marker onto the Empire State Building area. The Spinner must indicate the exact number of spaces left to be moved. For example: If a player is 3 spaces away from the Empire State Building, he must spin a 3. If he spins a higher number, he remains where he is and waits for his next turn.

KING KONG FIGHTS BACK

Once King Kong is at the Empire State Building he can fight back. If a player is within a few spaces of the Empire State, and does not spin the exact number of spaces needed to enter, King Kong can leave the Empire State BUilding along any of the 3 paths. He can knock off any one player as long as the player is located on the exact number of spaces indicated by the "Inner Circle" on the Spinner. For example: If a player needs a 3 to get into the Empire State but spins a higher number on the "Outer Circle", he cannot move; but, King Kong can move out the number of spaces indicated on the "Inner Circle" and send to the Hospital any player that number of spaces away. King Kong returns to the Empire State Building immediately ready for another attack.

WINNING THE GAME

The first player to land on the Empire State Building area captures King Kong and wins the game.

SPECIAL RULES

King Kong does not need the exact count to get to the Empire State Building.
If King Kong is on a footprint which is in one of the paths and a player lands directly on the space, the the player must go back to "Start".
The player cannot enter the Empire State Building unless King Kong is already there, even if he spins the correct number. It is up to the player who has spun to decide which man King Kong will attack, if more than 1 player is in position to be attacked
